About nine months ago, the singer, songwriter, producer, and musician Caroline Rose released their brilliant third studio album, The Art of Forgetting, and joined us here on SHEROES to talk about how the album came to be. If you were with us last year when we first aired that interview, you may recall that Caroline wrote these songs as if no one would hear them. The unintentional result became their most personal and exceptional album to date. A piece of art, that simultaneously embodied, and explored the art of letting go. The album was released to critical acclaim, praised by the likes of NPR, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and Under the Radar, the latter two putting it on their year-end best of lists. In early November, The Art of Forgetting was nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Recording Package" category. An extra huge deal as Caroline Rose was the creative director and visionary behind the packaging design and set build for the photography, and curated a talented group of women to execute their vision. Caroline also announced their upcoming 2024 tour - their biggest yet. And for the first time, their songs are being transcribed for orchestral performance, and for three of the shows, Caroline and their band will be joined by the amazing Metropolis Ensemble, including an unprecedented headline show at Brooklyn Steel.
