ABOUT THIS WEEK’S SHERO IN THE SPOTLIGHT:

You’ve probably heard the inspirational quote: Dance like nobody’s watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like no one is listening, Live like it’s heaven on earth. I thought of it after speaking to today’s guest about their new album, The Art of Forgetting, because that well known quote is really about the power of memory, and what happens when we don't let memories of fear and pain or shame interfere with living life to its fullest, and expressing ourselves freely. In today's conversation, you’ll hear about what happened when singer, songwriter, producer, and musician Caroline Rose wrote songs as if no one would hear them, which would call to mind memories of writing their first songs as a teenager. Simultaneously grappling with the recent memories of lost love, and a family member losing their memory, all during the isolating times of the pandemic, Caroline Rose emerged having created their most personal and exceptional album to date. A piece of art, that embodies the art of letting go. On the heels of its release, I'm thrilled to welcome Caroline Rose as this week’s SHERO in the Spotlight.
