As 2020 comes to a close, we look back on an unprecedented and challenging year of isolation and distance, struggle, fear and loss, and a year that brought live music to a halt.

But it was also a year of engaged activism, which raised demands for diversity and inclusion, and the forced break gave home-bound artists the opportunity to use their gifts to produce an incredible abundance of music to soothe us, make us dance, help us cry, motivate us, and keep us sane. When I look at the year-end best of lists, womxn lead the way more than any I've seen before, as reflected in the historic Grammy’s nominations.

2020 was also the year SHEROES Radio was born. And for that I am eternally grateful, and proud. This hour we have together is way too short to truly capture a Best Of, especially for a year as monumental as 2020. So consider it a small snapshot of this truly historic year, and the exceptional womxn that provided its soundtrack.
