Spotlight On: LUCIUS

ABOUT THIS WEEK’S SHERO IN THE SPOTLIGHT:

The voices that you hear every week in our theme music belong to Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe of Lucius, a band the two founded together while studying music at Berklee. Dan Molad and Pete Lalish joined in 2010, and since then they have become known for their goosebump-inducing harmonies and unison singing, their mirror image costumes, and their amazing live shows. It’s now been over fifteen years, five albums, two EPs, and countless collaborations including a couple years of touring and recording with Pink Floyd legend, Roger Waters, and recording with the likes of Harry Styles, Brandi Carlile, Mavis Staples, Jeff Tweedy, and many more. It’s fair to say that Jess and Holly have become some of the hardest working, most beloved, and most sought after voices for artists to work with. And after years of working with others, and some big personal life changes, Lucius finally shifted focus back to their own music, teaming up with Brandi Carlile and Dave Cobb to co-produce, and recently releasing their first proper album since 2016, Second Nature. Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe are Lucius, and they are this week’s SHEROES In The Spotlight.

Our playlist includes new music from Oumou Sangaré and Santigold.
