Spotlight On: NOGA EREZ

ABOUT THIS WEEK’S SHERO IN THE SPOTLIGHT:

Israeli pop innovator, electronic musician and producer Noga Erez was raised in Caesarea, and was musical from a young age. Early piano and guitar lessons propelled her to study composition at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and at 18 she served as a military musician in the Israeli army. While her style influences include Flying Lotus, Björk and Kendrick Lamar, the lyrical content of her music comes from Noga’s refusal to shy away from difficult conversation, and on her latest album KIDS, the songs stem from a realization that we are all someone’s child, and that our time with our parents is precious and finite. It’s her most personal work yet, and in turn, her most powerful. Noga Erez is this week’s SHERO in the Spotlight.
