‘Tis the season for holiday music, and however you may feel about it, the sounds of Christmastime are as inescapable as the lights and trees and candy canes. Thankfully for those of us that may want an alternative to the mainstream, artists and bands of all kinds annually contribute to the canon, either reimagining classics, or writing new ones. or in the case of multi-Grammy winning singer songwriter, Norah Jones, both. If you are someone that is attuned to these things, it will come as no surprise that a majority of traditional and classic Christmas songs you hear were written by men. So here on SHEROES Radio, we’re thrilled to celebrate Feministmas by showcasing the instant new holiday classics that Norah Jones has written for her amazing new holiday album, I Dream Of Christmas, as well as some choice covers, reinterpreted in that signature Norah Jones style, as we welcome Norah Jones as this week’s holiday SHERO in the Spotlight.
